picture of a dance workout videoSo you think you can dance? Anybody can boogie their way to a slimmer body

Many gyms now offer dance aerobics classes, thanks to the popularity of TV shows such as So You Think You Can Dance? From mambos and cha-chas to kicks and hip circles, dance workouts such as salsa, jazz, and hip hop offer a fun way to get your heart pumping, burn calories, sculpt your legs, and whittle your waistline.

  • aerobic, high impact dancing 200

  • aerobic, low impact dancing 143

  • aerobic, step, with 10 -12 inch step dancing 286

  • Anishinaabe Jingle Dancing or other traditional American Indian dancing 157

  • Ballet or modern, twist, jazz, tap, jitterbug dancing 137

    dancing 86

  • general, Greek, Middle Eastern, hula, flamenco, belly, and swing dancing

If you think you have two left feet or you are self-conscious, don't fret. Dance workouts on video and DVD are a perfect way to try these fun workouts in the privacy of your own home.

To get started, here are a few choices:
