I've had the flu this week, so the last thing I want to do is work-out or be around a lot of people, but researchers reported yesterday that happiness is contagious. I guess an emotional workout might be a better prescription for my mood today than a Z-Pack. Could gathering up friends chase the blues away?
The study published today in the British Medical Journal showed that happiness is contagious and that people with the most social connections -- including spouses, significant others, friends, relatives -- were the happiest.
Hmmm, I wonder if the effect works online?
