Key Ingredients:

• Coralline Concentrate is extracted from Red Algae, which can be found off the coast of France. Known for its potent anti-inflammatory properties, this vitamin helps calm and soothe skin irritation.
• Licorice Extract: Extracted according to a special procedure from liquorices or sweetwort it contains mainly isoflavonoids, flavonoids and phytosterols. Isoflavonoids have an inhibitory effect on the synthesis of melanin. Licorice Extract also has brightening benefits.
• Vitamin K (the name is derived from the German word koagulieren - to coagulate) is necessary for the blood clotting mechanism in the body. It aids in the healing of capillaries or blood vessels that may have enlarged or burst, thus creating the thin red lines that can often show through the skin. Vitamin K has been the plastic surgeons' magical secret weapon for post-surgery bruising (damaged blood vessels). In scientific studies it has been shown to strengthen blood vessels (arterioles, capillaries and venules). • Vitamin A is a potent antioxidant that helps improve skin structure and increase elasticity and firmness. It is also known for its anti-aging benefits since it helps to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin A also helps to improve skin texture and firmness.
• Goji Berry’s have multiple benefits, such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. They are rich in antioxidants, particularly carotenoids like beta-carotene and zeaxanthin. Goji berry is a fruit popular in Tibet and the goji plant also grows in Mongolia and China. Goji berries have been used for 6000 years by herbalists in Asia to boost immune function and improve circulation. The goji plant is also known as wolfberry (Lycium berry).
• Kukui Nut Oil is a rich, lubricious plant oil and contains Linoleic and Linoleinic fatty acids (Vitamin F), which replenish luster to dry skin and replace moisture content naturally. The kukui nut tree, Aleurites Moluccana (Latin), is frequently found in the remaining rain forests of the Pacific Islands. It grows preferentially in valleys and low-altitude volcanic slopes up to an altitude of 1,000m. The Polynesians have been utilizing the versatile kukui nut tree for centuries. Since the nuts have a high oil content, the native people pressed the nut for the oil, which was used for skin care. This practice was intended to activate the skin’s self-protective mechanism against intense UV radiation. The oil was also applied on children’s skin in order to reduce the risk of sun burn. Modern medicine only recently “discovered” kukui nut oil and has performed thorough tests and analyses, confirming the benefits of the traditional uses of the oil.
• Olive Oil is obtained from pressing ripe olives of Olea Europaea. It has been used by Mediterranean people for centuries both as a food and as a treatment for damaged, dry skin. Soothes, heals and lubricates the skin. Used in many face creams as an emollient with superior penetrating power.
• Panthenol is a penetrating moisturizer which absorbs into the skin and hair and is converted into Pantothenic Acid, a B complex Vitamin. It assists skin care products in retaining water and also absorbs water from the air, aiding in skin moisturization.
• Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is a biopolymer obtained from the endosperm of wheat germs has properties similar to collagen. It forms an adhesive network on the skin surface into which water and lipids are incorporated and slowly released. This plant protein increases the moisture content of the skin, makes it smooth and soft and provides a comfortable skin feel.

For anyone that suffers from rosacea, here are good tips to follow:

• Wash with water that is lukewarm, not hot.
• Blot dry, but do not rub, with a thick-pile cotton towel.
• Wait for the skin to dry completely. Try waiting at least one minute before applying products.
• When you have a flare up, treat it sooner than later to prevent long-term damage.
• Apply at least an SPF 15 sunscreen every day to prevent UV induced symptoms. The sun is often the #1 reason for flare-ups.
• Monitor your diet daily. By avoiding alcohol, hot beverages and/or spicy foods you can greatly reduce the number and severity of Rosacea flare-ups.
