Olay Professional Anti-Aging Skincare Review
OLAY Professional Pro-X Anti-Aging Starter Protocol: Reviewed by Mother Blogger
As a longtime fan of budget-friendly Olay Regenerist, I was delighted to see a professional anti-agingskincare line added to Olay's long list of skincare products.
Olay Professional is at the forefront of science and anti-aging technology. Leading dermatologists and Olay skin scientists have partnered to establish the Olay Professional Alliance for Skincare Innovation. Through this partnership, Pro-X was created to bring you prescribed protocols to protect, treat, and transform your skin's appearance in a three-step regimen.
The Anti-Aging Starter Protocol kit contains the following products:
Olay Pro-X Age Repair Lotion with SPF 30: Helps shield your skin from UVA/UVB exposure while hydrating to fight the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Olay Pro-X Eye Restorative Complex: Designed for the delicate eye area and helps to restore the area to its optimum appearance by improving the look of dark circles, puffiness, and crow's feet with hydration. Additionally, Olay suggests massaging the cream under your eyes to reduce excess under-eye fluids.
Olay Pro-X Wrinkle Smoothing Cream: Designed to smoothe uneven textures with moisture, combating the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
Directions:
- Protect skin in the morning with Age Repair Lotion with SPF 30.
- Treat skin morning and night by applying Eye Restoration Complex to corners, lid, and sub-orbital eye area, massaging thoroughly until absorbed.
- Treat skin at night with Wrinkle Smoothing Cream.
Results:
After a month of using the three-step regimen, I didn't notice a dramatic difference, but to refresh your memory, I slather on Retin-A every night. As a result, my skin is very dry. What was notable was that all three products in this skincare line were very moisturizing.
Because Retin-A exfoliates as well, I also didn't notice much of a difference with regard to the removal of dead skin cells.
I am always delighted to see sun protection in any product, and with Olay Pro-X Age Repair Lotion containing an SPF of 30, it provides some sunscreen, although I would hope that all daytime moisturizers will amp up their SPFs in the future.
At an average retail price of $61.50, women who purchase mid- to premium-range skincare products from department stores might find the Olay Professional Anti-aging skincare line a great alternative.

Review of Bliss Peeling Groovy
Beauty Product Review: Bliss Peeling Groovy facial serum
Bliss Peeling Groovy is the product previously known as Sleeping Peel Serum. It's still the same dermatologist-developed, spa-strength anti-aging serum, but now it's got a snappy new name -- Peeling Groovy!
We applied three to four pumps of the clear liquid on freshly clean skin, covering not only our face and neck but our decolletage and our hands, too. After waiting three to five minutes, we put on a moisturizer with sunscreen.
What we like about Bliss Peeling Groovy:
- Containing AFAs -- Filaggrin-based amino acid antioxidants -- instead of irritating AHAs -- alpha hydroxy acids -- we found Bliss peeling groovy to be extremely non-irritating.
- Contains Vitamin C to help boost collagen production.
- As fans of daily exfoliation, this is a "liquid version of a microdermabrasion kit."
- Our skin felt baby soft after only a week's worth of application.
Any women with aging skin issues, acne or other skin conditions could benefit from Bliss Peeling Groovy. Like the Bliss ad says, "You're only as young as you peel."
You can purchase Bliss Peeling Groovy at Sephora.com - ($65.)

Skin Care²: Beauty Product Review of Somme Institute
If Albert Einstein's wife Mileva was alive, she would probably be using Somme Institute MDT5 skin care line because it is Skin Care². Using Ultra Violet photography to detect wrinkles, sun damage, and acne beneath the skin's surface, Somme Institute developed a proprietary skin technology, Molecular Dispersion Technology 5 or MDT5, which is a blend of six vitamins (A, C, E, D, B3, and B5).
What's the relativity theory behind MDT5?
MDT5 infiltrates the inner skin layers in their active forms at high concentrations without losing its potency when exposed to air. Relatively speaking, this skin care line is pricey, but when concentrated forms of vitamins are added to beauty products, many times the price point goes up but so do the positive sides effects.
The Somme Institute is committed to the development of cosmeceuticals with visible, confirmed scientific benefits. A beautiful, clear, smooth complexion doesn't always come naturally. Make-up can camouflage flaws, but acne, premature aging, sun damage, and environmental stresses can take their toll on even the most perfect-looking skin. Although models appear to have naturally flawless complexions, they too have problematic skin like the rest of us. Since keeping their skin in optimal condition is critical to their careers, they have an even greater demand for a skin care regimen that delivers the perfect complexions they are required to project. Addressing this demand, the Somme Institute has treated the faces of elite models from exclusive agencies, including Ford, Wilhelmina, and Elite. Never before had they achieved such dramatic skin improvements as they had after using the Somme cosmeceuticals. They are now devoted clients.

The newest kid on the block is the "controlled-release" EYE cream ($72). Utilizing the MDT5 technology, the cream s-l-o-w-l-y infiltrates the skin to bring back skin's elasticity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, puffiness, and even dark circles.

If you are traveling, don't forget to pack Mobile ($85), Somme's TSA-compliant five-step regimen in travel sizes. It was awarded by Wallpaper magazine with Best Travel Pack in 2007. Mobile contains the following:
- Nourishing Cleanser, a non-foaming cleansing gel deep cleans skin without irritation or over-drying.
- Transport (14 treatments) Soft cotton pads infused with MDT5 exfoliate dead cells on skin's surface, unclogging blocked pores while delivering highly engineered vitamins deep into the skin promoting resiliency, hydration and cell renewal. (Brains on Beauty: cut the transport pads in half. It makes them more difficult to use, but more cost effective.)
- Serum (.33 fl oz/10 ml) A potent stabilized form of Vitamin C, along with a high concentration of HDT5 to strengthen skin elasticity and smooth the appearance of fine lines.
- A-Bomb (.5 oz/14 g) A quick penetrating, lightweight cream containing MDT5 and high concentration levels of Vitamins A & E restores cells' function, softening the lines and targeting problem areas.
- Double Defense (1 oz/30 g) A lightweight, waterproof lotion with SPF 30+ contains MDT5 and Parsol 1789 to protect your skin from premature aging and future damage while locking in vital moisture and treating pre-existing skin damage.
With dry and sun-damaged skin, the products are right up my alley. Since I have only used the products for a short time, I will review this again in a few months with additional thoughts and suggestions, but in the short run, antioxidants and vitamins are at the top of my daily list. Striving for five just got a little easier with Somme Institute's skin care line.
MDT5 is also used professionally in spas, medispas, and dermatologists' offices nationwide, including the Vitamin Infusion at the Spa at Mandarin Oriental in Los Angeles, which I hope to schedule on my trip to LA in May and report my findings to you.

No. 1 Way To Fight Wrinkles
Admittedly, I have been a fan of Prevage MD for the last year, but the jury is in and Prevage MD is too irritating for most women's skin. My dermatologist recommended I switch to RevaleSkin.
What is RevaleSkin?
RevaleSkin is the first and only professional line of anti-aging skin care products exclusively formulated with the powerful, natural antioxidant ingredient, CoffeBerry. Unfortunately, it is only available through physicians' offices ($40 t0 $110), and a few online resources, from which I have not purchased a beauty product.
What is particularly significant about the launch of this anti-aging skin care line is that it taps into two of the biggest trends in the cosmetics industry at the current time - the move towards natural cosmetics combined with consumer interest in anti-aging treatments.
