Though women often fixate on wrinkles, a series of studies shows that evenness of skin color may be equally important for beauty. Men find faces with homogenous hues more attractive than splotchy faces, not that you should be concerned what men think! But the authors conclude that smooth skin suggests youth and good health according to the study.

Dear Amanda, I have recurrent problems with dermatitis/blepharitis type problems that affect my eyelids and also the skin right under my eyes. I can usually get the symptoms under control with a variety of methods, but unfortunately after the inflammation and swelling subsides I am left with lots of parchment-like wrinkling of the skin, most notably under my eyes. It's making me appear older before my time and I don't know what if anything can be done about it! Once wrinkling of the eyelid skin occurs, is there any way to reverse it? Dear Karen, the wrinkling and creepiness under your eyes can be caused by irritation, unfortunately the solutions are limited. A simple noninvasive solution is to use a concealer lighter than your makeup and an eye cream.
