Sephora Shopping Trip: Perfekt Eye Perfection Gel

While The Working Girl was getting a complementary makeover at Sephora, Mother Blogger sniffed, slathered, and played with any new products on the shelves.  One such product that caught her eye -- almost literally speaking -- was perfekt Eye Perfection Gel.

Mother Blogger has had a love affair with perfekt's primer (which in her humble opinion, is one of the best primers on the market), so she was titillated to experience perfekt's new eye product.

What it is:
A vitamin-enriched, tinted, skin perfector for the delicate eye area.

What it does:
Perfekt Eye Perfection Gel is a multi-tasking, modern gel-mousse that glides on effortlessly to instantly leave the eye area with a smooth, airbrushed finish - perfect alone or a fantastic primer for eyeshadow. The gel contains a cooling, natural palladium tip applicator and a soothing cucumber extract to relieve puffiness and leave the eyes looking refreshed. This multi-tasking formula contains a light-reflecting tint that brightens tired-looking eyes. The skin around the eyes will be left smooth and soft—making concealer optional!

What else you need to know:
Eye Perfection Gel is free of oil, talc, wax, fragrance, and parabens, which is so very important to the pregnant Working Girl.

The results are in:

Mother Blogger cleaned off her eye area and applied perfekt Eye Perfection Gel in Bright on her lid and below her eye.  For testing purposes, she also put it on her hand, which left the skin on her hand exceptionally soft.  The tinted product left her skin smooth, although she did feel the need for a little under-eye concealer.  After applying eye makeup to the eyelid, Mother Blogger asked The Working Girl and The Sephora Girl their thoughts.  Both thought the product helped to alleviate eyeshadow from settling into Mother Blogger's creases and helped her tired eyes.  Sephora Girl added that the palladium tip reduces puffiness under the eye.  All three of us gave perfekt Eye Perfection Gel a thumbs-up.

Also available in Awake, Refreshed, and Vibrant.

Ouch factor:  $45.

What's up next:  Comparison of Yves Saint Laurent ($45) foundation to Armani foundation ($58).

The ouch factor is pretty harsh, but it does sound like a wonderful product. Great find!
