Pureology's Essential Repair Anti-Fade Complex

SOS: Save Our Strands

The Working Girl

After months of doing my own dye job, which wasn't too shabby but didn't last long, I decided to have an expert examine and color my locks.  Well, actually my mom offered to pay for it so it was an easy decision.

The Healthy Hair Expert, Karen, wiggled her nose as she looked over my damaged, dry, split-end disaster.  She decided to go with two blonde colors and one darker to give my mane some depth.  She had to do quite a bit of cutting to get rid of the split ends.  She explained that I should get my hair trimmed at least every two months even if I'm growing it out: "Cutting will keep it healthy and prevent split ends which make your hair look as though it's stopped growing."  What a cute smartie pants.  That's why we love her so.

After the process I informed Karen about my finnicky hair:  It doesn't perserve color very well.  The Healthy Hair Expert suggested a regime designed to prolong color and nourish.  I chose Pureology Essential Repair Anti-Fade Complex.  I think the name says it  all; keeps hair healthy while allowing your salon do' to last longer.  I splurged and went with the WHOLE package: shampoo, conditioner, split-end correcting treatment, colour max, restorative hair masque, and instant repair.  Wowza.  What do I do with all this?

Pureology’s Exclusive Technology

  • AntiFadeComplex® Exclusive blend of potent antioxidants and full spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreens.
  • ZeroSulfate® Shampoo Free of harsh colour-stripping sulfates and salts.

Organic Botanicals

  • Chamomile Infuses hair with healthy shine.
  • Olive Oil Nurtures to restore softness and manageability.

Natural Derivatives

  • Soy Milk Reconstructs and nourishes from the inside out.

  • Biotin Fortifies weakened areas and renews strength.

Easy instructions allowed me to master the process.  It's been about two weeks since my salon appointment and the color is still going strong.  Oh, and did I mention Pureology smells amazing!?   People have been asking me where they can buy my perfume.  Now, that's a multitasking product that I like to keep in my beauty arsenal.

Aren't you preggo? Be careful dyeing while you are. It is best not to do it at all while preggo. Make sure to talk to your doctor about it.

This pureology set does look wonderful. Great hair care products make a world of difference in how your hair will look and act. I don't really have the budget for expensive hair care, but I work it in because otherwise I spend alot more on haircuts to get rid of damaged ends.
Great review!

Hi Leane. I didn't know I was pregnant until after the color job. I'm letting my hair return to its natural color until after the baby. Thanks for your concern. Smiling
