When the going gets tough, I get my period. Just what I needed once my body was finally getting used to the calories and food content. I slipped up.
I had a chocolate bar...
a few slices of pizza...
and Skittles.
Yikes!
However, I still managed to lose a pound. I'll take it.
Now, I'm back on track and find it so much easier to stick to the program, minus the monthly visitor.
Choosing veggies and fruits to complement the NutriSystem meals has helped me feel fuller and more satisfied. The meals themselves are quite delicious. I won't become a fan of the noodles and green peppers, but the fettuccine alfredo and chicken and dumplings are better than I could probably whip up in the kitchen.
During my period, my fitness also took a hit. I was tired and sluggish and lost touch with my dear elliptical for a few days straight. Just like the NutriSystem program, I'm back to my fitness routine as well, which requires knocking on my mom's door daily to use their elliptical and weights in the basement for at least 45 minutes a day. At the end of week two, I feel better and have more energy as well.
