Trendwatch Thursday Giveaway: Wella Hair Care

Posted on May 14, 2009 at 5:18AM

pretty redhead woman with a short bob haircut on a slate color backgroundBob, a handsome dude, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to a blonde at the bar and stared up at the TV. The 10 pm news was coming on. The news crew was covering the story of a man on the ledge of a large building preparing to jump.

The blonde looked at Bob and said, "Do you think he'll jump?"

Bob said, "You know, I bet he'll jump."

The blonde replied, "Well, I bet he won't."

Bob placed a $20 bill on the bar and said, "You're on!"

Just as the blonde placed her money on the bar, the guy on the ledge did a swan dive off the building, falling to his death. The blonde was very upset, but willingly handed her $20 to Bob, saying, "Fair's fair. Here's your money."

Bob replied, "I can't take your money. I saw this earlier on the 5 pm news, and so I knew he would jump."

The blonde replied, "I did too, but didn't think he'd do it again."

Bob took the money...

Wella, they say blondes have more fun and brunettes are taken more seriously, but it’s the redheads who are commanding the catwalk and spicing it up this summer!  Kevin Q, my hair artiste extraordinare, has planted in my not dumb blonde head that red would be a good color for me.  I'm noodling on this color change.

Whether you want to be strawberry-blonde or feel the scarlet fever, Wella Professionals has quick tips on keeping it a real red!

MATCHMAKER

According to Josh Wood, Global Creative Director for Wella Color, “Red can suit anyone; it’s all about finding the right shade for your skin tone.  There are thousands of red tones to choose from.”  Olive skin tones need to stick to the warmer tones, while pale women can push the envelope with a more vivacious red.  The right red lies in the hands of a professional colorist who knows how to balance warm and cool tones to suit your specific coloring.

KEEPING IT REAL

Due to the size of the hair color molecule, it is very difficult to maintain red hair because it fades rather quickly.  However, Wella Professionals NEW Koleston Perfect permanent hair color delivers 15% longer-lasting reds.  The best way to maintain color once you’ve gone red is with Wella Professionals Color Preserve shampoo and conditioner, a technologically advanced hair care regimen featuring a revolutionary P3 Complex to protect, prolong and preserve up to 78% more hair color.

Three of our lucky readers will win the following prize:

  • Wella Color Preserve Smoothing Conditioner $14.00
  • Wella Color Preserve Smoothing Shampoo $13.00
