Trendwatch Thursday: White House Black Market Jeans

Posted on Apr 23, 2009 at 8:22AM

Black House White Market white jeans on a gray backgroundMother Blogger discovered her new favorite jeans on Trendwatch Thursday from White House Black Market.

While in a luteal phase, Mother Blogger went on a spending spree.  She bought White House Black Market blue jeans, white jeans, capri jeans, cropped jeans, distressed rolled-cuff jeans, pedal pusher jeans...

Warning: Scientists have discovered that PMS is linked to increased spending. According to the study, women spend more in the ten days leading up to their periods, known as the luteal phase.

Mother Blogger is very thankful that she isn't PMS -- been there and done that-- but she is menopausal.  Although scientists haven't discovered that menopause is linked to increased spending, Mother Blogger must be chronically LUTEAL because she bought a pair of jeans for every day of the week.

Why?

White House Black Market jeans fit her perfectly!

Perfectly!

Did she say "perfectly"?

P-e-r-f-e-c-t-l-y!

The Today Show  cited White House Black Market's Blanc Essential Jean as the best fitting jean for all body types, and there is nothing more important in choosing jeans than fit and finding a cut that’s right for your body.

According to Stacy London, Mother Blogger hit the jackpot with White House Black Market jeans:

“The most universally flattering shape is a straight leg or a small boot-cut with a mid rise––about two finger widths under the belly button. For the longest, leanest leg line, look for a uniformly dark wash."

Mother B found a small boot-cut jean with a mid rise -- exactly two finger widths under the belly button in the Blanc Essential jean ($78).

But White House Black Market jeans are not just for menopausal women or perimenopausal women only.

Twentysomething Jamie and her entourage also sport White House Black Market jeans.

Mother Blogger's Care tip:

Always turn your jeans inside out and wash with a gentle detergent, such as Woolite For All Darks, to keep jeans from fading.
