Beauty Product Review: NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Bohemian Gold.

Eyes that pop but not over the top

Reviewed by Jamie Temple

When it comes to applying make-up, I’ve learned from my mistakes, took notes from friends, and tried what the magazines advised. I can now put my face on in a few minutes without streaks, smudges, or blunders but when it comes to eye makeup, I’m still a little lost.

What shadow goes where? Lid? Brow? Crease?

Every time I apply more than one shade it looks -- well, it looks a bit too '80s. Love the '80s. Loved '80s frat parties. Don’t love it for a night out with the girls.

Tonight, I took a risk and tried NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Bohemian Gold.

Sounds exotic, right?

It's a soft, peachy orange and a more subtle creamy, muted pink. Yup, that’s right. Try to create a mental picture with those descriptions. The darker one went on the lid, lighter on the top, a little blend, blend here, a little mascara there, and CHECK ME OUT. Eye that pop without being over the top.

You can check it out, too. ($32)
