A reader Asks Amanda, cosmetic nurse specialist, for help with red spots, scars, and dark circles
Tomorrow Amanda shares photos of a personal friend who has recently undergone Fraxel treatment. You will not want to miss the before and after!
Dear Amanda:
I was wondering if you could help me, as I know very little of skin care products. About 3 months ago I was on some medication that made me break out a great deal. (beforehand, I had never had many problems with acne, just the odd
blemish here and there) Now because of that month on medication, my face without makeup looks terrible. I don't have any pimples or anything, but I have red spots and scars from when they were there 2-3 months ago.I was wondering if there was anything I could use to even out my skin tone and to get rid of the spots and scars?
I also tend to have extremely dark circles under my eyes (and it is not from lack of sleep). Is there anything I can do about that other than covering it up with makeup? I look like a zombie who hasn't slept in weeks without makeup on.
Hope you can help.
Thank you.
J
Hello J.
I hope all is well. I must first ask, what product did you use that caused you to break out?The good news is this: The red spots and scars will improve with time, and are related to the changes in the skin. The red will diminish. For now use a green tinted cream. The color red is diminished with green moisturizers.
I recommend RevaleSkin night cream. Use this morning and night. One full pump will be enough for your face and neck. The face wash is great, too. Personally this is my most favorite product!! The product actually cleared up my acne! I am 28 years old and have used the product since its launch. You can purchase this product on line @ http://www.revaleskin.com/.
Use an SPF of 30 daily.
The best make up is LYCOGEL CAMOFLAUGE. It contains an SPF of 30 and provides great coverage. It is light and the only breathable makeup available. You can find this online as well at http://www.lycogel.com/.
The dark circles under your eyes are one of two things. Do you have allergies, or it is a shadow. The simple solution is to use a concealer lighter than your makeup. The best product available is LUMIERE eye cream by NEOCUTIS, and it is approved for application to the eyelids. It contains PSP's and caffeine. You can access information at http://www.neocutis.com/
If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me or call me. I will do all I can to help you!
Don't give up. The red spots will fade, and you can maintain your appearance with product!
Amanda
Hi Amanda.
Thank you for the samples and everything. I will look into the RevaleSkin product, also!
